This project group focusses on implementing important features of the ASAM OpenDRIVE Concept project. Among others it foresees the implementation of direct links, junction model, environmental model, road geometry and semantic traffic signs. Due to the urgent need for some of the functions, there will be an early release of V1.7.0 already in Jul 2021.
The purpose of this project is to standardize a new communication protocol for distributed vehicle measurement components. That includes data to be recorded as well as status and control information. The goal is to ensure the long-term cost-effectiveness and sustainability of measurement components.
This project intends to implement some change requests by the VDA project group "SIL Standardization" to support more complex test environments, which are typically found in the SIL environment. Additionally, the extensions and modifications requested by the concept project "ASAM XIL for Service Oriented Communication" shall be realized. Due to some major modifications, the new version 3.0.0 will be incompatible to the current version 2.2.0.

The purpose of this project is evaluate the utilization of ASAM MCD-2 MC in the motorcycle industry. Several ASAM members active in the motorcycle industry will collaborate in this project, share their ideas and bring in their requirements. If considered useful, this group will submit requirements for the further development of ASAM MCD-2 MC.

ASAM iLinkRT is a High-Speed Automation access protocol for MC-Servers. ASAM iLinkRT V3.0.0. will be released in Nov 2020. Due to the large number of new, supported capabilities and the fact that this protocol is positioned as the successor of ASAP 3, it is expected to be widely used in the market. Any problems, difficulties in understanding and possible ambiguities that may arise shall be solved within this maintenance project. Additional cross tests shall be carried out with real products from participating companies to identify bugs and change requests.
