ASAM Big Data Workshop, USA, March 2015

ASAM ODS Big Data Technology Review On March 17 - 18, 2015, an ASAM ODS Big Data Workshop took place in Detroit. As per the agenda, multiple Big Data technologies and strategies were shared and discussed, particularly on Day One. Part of the discussions included how these technologies could be applied with ODS and Test Data. Day Two focused on use cases for these technologies, particularly on the suitability of select Big Data technologies (Spark, Cassandra, Mongo, etc.) with time-series data. The session concluded with the agreement that a Workgroup Proposal would be circulated to participants, led by Mr. Hilkene of Cummins. Mr. Hilkene will convene a follow-up session in Detroit in the second half of April 2015 to finalize the proposal and submit for ASAM review and approval. The goal of this proposal is to add an interface Standard to ODS to define the interaction with Big Data technologies. For presentations, please click here
