The Autoware Foundation has joined ASAM e.V. as a member, while ASAM became Alliance Partner of the Autoware Foundation. This mutual commitment reflects the intent of both parties to collaborate more closely. Both organizations want to advance autonomous driving by enabling collaboration between different stakeholders through standards. The Autoware Foundation is already using ASAM Simulation standards in their software and is looking into ASAM SOVD for accessing software defined vehicles (SDV).

This whitepaper, authored by ASAM, eSync and DSA Daten- und Systemtechnik GmbH depicts how ASAM SOVD and the eSync platform can be combined to form a robust framework for remote access via standardized, cloud-based diagnostic and update interfaces.
