ASAM Supports Student Contest “Smart Vehicle for Sustainable Mobility”

ASAM is proud to announce its support of the "Smart Vehicle for Sustainable Mobility” contest conducted by the Driving Simulation Association in the context of the Driving Simulation & Virtual Reality Conference 2020 (DSC).



ASAM is supporting the “Smart Vehicle for Sustainable Mobility” contest taking place in the context of the Driving Simulation & Virtual Reality Conference 2020 (DSC). 

 

The contest is open to students (Master or PhD) and can be performed by individuals or in small groups. All students interested in sustainable cities, Simulation and smart vehicles are invited to register for the contest (registration is still open!): Contest Registration

 

Tasks

The participants are asked to propose a new innovative urban traffic management with the help of a new traffic light model. The solution will be evaluated by its degree of innovation, sustainability, and performance. Read more

 

ASAM offers participants free use of all ASAM standards (particularly ASAM OpenDRIVE for the description of road networks) for use within the contest. This includes also technical support if needed. Participants should contact dorothee.bassermann(at)asam.net for the Standard(s) and nicco.dillmann(at)asam.net for support. 

 

Benefits

The proposed solutions must be submitted by June 30th. The Selection Committee consisting of representatives from OEMs, universities and mobility service providers will select 3 winners. They will have the chance to win up to 1,000€ and to present their solution at the DSC Europe 2020 VR conference on Sep 09, 2020 at the Congress Center of Antibes (transportation costs will be taken care of). All participants will be able to join the Driving Simulation Conference free of charge.
