What is OpenLABEL?
OpenLABEL (name still to be determined) aims to introduce a standardized set of labels for objects of interest (as identified by e.g. vehicle sensors) and for driving scenarios. In parallel it will define a generic labelling format applicable to data not specific to the two aforementioned use cases.
On Dec. 02, 2019 there was an ideation workshop on the topic with great response. The results of this workshop shall be implemented in this project. Read more
The output of this workshop will be a revised version of a project proposal, subject to approval in the upcoming ASAM on the 12th of March, 2020. Specifically: TSC
- Review the technical content and use cases for the standard, then use these to derive a list of requirements
- Estimate resources (man hours) necessary for project completion
- Initial resource (man hours) commitment by interested companies for project participation
Who Should Participate?
All are invited, from individuals to tool vendors, automotive OEMs and suppliers (software & hardware). No ASAM membership is required. Participants will be expected to take part in the subsequent OpenLABEL project to help make it a globally accepted . standard
