We will discuss how atmospheric and other medium properties, such as rain, fog, snow, and related attenuation and scattering effects, could be represented in a standardized way for simulation. In particular, we want to explore how a common Medium data model or interface could complement existing ASAM standards such as ASAM OSI and ASAM OpenMATERIAL and improve interoperability between environment and sensor simulation tools.
