ASAM OpenDRIVE effectively represents road networks with parametric geometries but was not designed for the wider road environment. OGC CityGML represents semantic 3D city and landscape models with B-Rep geometries.

The presentation reports the findings of the ASAM Concept Project, which investigated a linking concept between the two complementary standards from the automotive and GIS domains.
