The German-Japanese research project VIVID - Virtual Validation Methodology for Intelligent Driving Systems - investigates how accurate sensor Simulation models for the safety argumentation in the Homologation process of AD functions must be. Different models and model components of radar, lidar and camera are the focus of the analysis, which is why ASAM OSI is the central Standard format for the model exchange. In addition to the current results, we will show limits of OSI and develop solutions by contributing to the ASAM OSI sensor modeling group.
