Advanced driver Assistance Systems (ADASs) incurring safety critical applications and driving functions as well as In-Vehicle-Systems (IVSs) for the utilization of High-Definition maps have a strong demand for specific data from satellite navigation systems to provide high accurate and robust vehicle self-localization in real time.

Today’s GNSS navigation receiver performance is degrading strongly under the influence of local error influences from urban environment. PATHFINDER Technology provides a completely new approach for the integration of navigation data to ADASs and IVSs by additional interfaces to manipulate the GNSS signal tracking and to provide additional error information.

By the fundamentally new implementation of the NAVENTIK Software GNSS receiver according to automotive safety requirements, PATHFINDER goes far beyond the functionality of today’s GNSS systems. Additionally, PATHFINDER exploits the full potential of satellite navigation in automotive environments and can be deployed to the mass market under strongly reduced costs and integration efforts. NAVENTIK is a spin-off from Chemnitz University of Technology for the marketing of the PATHFINDER navigation technology.
