ASAM CMP defines the communication between capture modules and data sinks and is transported over Ethernet. So far, ASAM CMP supports data messages, status messages and control messages. The standard shall now be enhanced to allow the replay of data, capturing the beacon timestamp of ethernet in shared medium networks (multidrop), and the support of TSN preemption (e.g. via raw logging).

Combining the reference-line-based ASAM OpenDRIVE with OGC's CityGML represents a transformative approach to road space modeling for advanced driver assistance systems and automated driving. While ASAM OpenDRIVE is effective for road descriptions, it encounters challenges when dealing with complexity and detailed environmental data. Conversely, CityGML excels in 3D city modeling, offering rich semantic and geometric data, but it lacks detailed road logic.

ASAM SOVD 1.0.0 provides a solid set of building blocks for the diagnosis of software-based vehicles. Due to the large content of ASAM SOVD V1.0.0, there are still requirements that have not been addressed yet. In addition, first implementations as well as further standardization activities in ISO and AUTOSAR are currently being performed. This project shall also consider the feedback from these activities and incorporate change requests into the following release.

Currently there is no harmonized way to store image, radar, lidar and sensor data in ASAM MDF. This complicates the development of tools that want to access them. It also means that the different analysis tools are not interoperable due to the different ways of writing the data. The aim of this project is to clarify how sensor raw data and stream meta data can be handled in ASAM MDF and its associated standards.
