ASAM is launching a new project to continue the development of ASAM SOVD.

ASAM SOVD (Service-Oriented Vehicle The subsystem of an ECU or ECU networks, which performs error detection, handling and communication.Diagnostics) defines an Application Programming InterfaceAPI for diagnosing and communicating with software-based vehicles. It is a flexible A public specification, which has been developed by experts in a defined consensus-driven development process and was released by officials that represent a significant share of the industry for which it is targeted, giving the specification the necessary legitimacy to be called a 'Standard'.Standard that provides a uniform access to the diagnostic content of HPCs and their related applications, as well as of classic ECUs. 

While implementing the A public specification, which has been developed by experts in a defined consensus-driven development process and was released by officials that represent a significant share of the industry for which it is targeted, giving the specification the necessary legitimacy to be called a 'Standard'.Standard and preparing for the International Organization for StandardizationISO review, several comments and feature requests were collected, highlighting the need for improvements and further development.
