The ASAM concept project "ASAM OpenTestSpecification" was initiated in May 2023 to define a concept for a unified, holistic test Specification useable across a wide range of applicable test environments and test techniques. It is a follow-up to the Test Specification Study Group Report (https://report.asam.net).
The project group would like to use existing formats and processes, rather than redefining them from scratch. To determine their suitability, the project group has finalized requirements that such a test Specification format(s) must fulfil.
On behalf of the project group, ASAM is now publishing the requirements in a “Call for Candidates”. For this call, everyone is invited to submit “candidates”, which they feel fulfil all or part of these requirements. A candidate may be anything from an existing format to a Standard, whether proprietary or open. These candidates will be evaluated by the project group. The group will determine whether they can serve as the foundation or part of the envisioned test Specification Standard.
Please note that submissions are oriented towards formats, standards and processes. Submission of tools or implementations shall be rejected.
Submission of candidates shall be performed using the templates and guidelines published by ASAM. Please register via the form on the right, you will then be forwarded to the relevant documents.
