This is a follow-up project from the ASAM Test Specification study project which published its results at https://report.asam.net. The ASAM Test Specification Study Group aimed to provide an overview on test methods and environments and to clarify the role of data-driven development and the importance of test data management. Based on this work, the project group proposed the development of a new Standard for test specifications (ASAM OpenTestSpecification).
The main purpose of this concept project is to develop a technical basis and clear requirements for this new Standard. In the future, it shall define universally applicable test descriptions taking into account the underlying (main) requirements (KPIs) and ensure their interexchangeability. The Standard shall be useable across a wide range of applicable test environments and test techniques. Additionally, this concept project shall enhance the ASAM test Specification report by adding aspects such as V2X, cybersecurity or AI.
The new Standard shall ensure that the different test methods and test environments described in the test Specification report are applicable and used. Furthermore it shall ensure that synergies are used, transitions are simplified, and the reusability of artefacts is improved in all these tests.
To avoid that a format must be redefined from scratch, the project group has decided to issue a call for format candidates. The requirements for the format candidate can be found here
