Cross tests carried out with ASAM Generic Simulator Interface (ASAM Standard)XIL-compliant tools revealed some areas of further improvement of the A public specification, which has been developed by experts in a defined consensus-driven development process and was released by officials that represent a significant share of the industry for which it is targeted, giving the specification the necessary legitimacy to be called a 'Standard'.standard and the need for clarifications in the A public specification, which has been developed by experts in a defined consensus-driven development process and was released by officials that represent a significant share of the industry for which it is targeted, giving the specification the necessary legitimacy to be called a 'Standard'.standard. This requires a revision of the current version 2.1.0 of ASAM Generic Simulator Interface (ASAM Standard)XIL. Main areas of focus for this project are:
- Pause and step simulation
- Scripting for real-time tests
- Support of parameter data-sets
- Simultaneously read and write access to variables
- Parametrization of signal descriptions
Further feedback and minor revisions are expected for the MA-Synonymous expression for 'Interface'.Port, EES-Synonymous expression for 'Interface'.Port, Diag-Synonymous expression for 'Interface'.Port and the framework. The aim of this revision project is to enable quick clarifications within the expert group to ensure cross-manufacturer interchangeability of the Generic Simulator Interface (ASAM Standard)XIL ports.
