Cross tests carried out with ASAM XIL-compliant tools revealed some areas of further improvement of the Standard and the need for clarifications in the Standard. This requires a revision of the current version 2.1.0 of ASAM XIL. Main areas of focus for this project are:

• Pause and step simulation
• Scripting for real-time tests
• Support of parameter data-sets
• Simultaneously read and write access to variables
• Parametrization of signal descriptions

Further feedback and minor revisions are expected for the MA-Port, EES-Port, Diag-Port and the framework. The aim of this revision project is to enable quick clarifications within the expert group to ensure cross-manufacturer interchangeability of the XIL ports.
