Jörn heads the Industry & Simulation Division at the MMI of RWTH Aachen. He brings extensive expertise in 3D simulation and physics-based sensor simulation (camera, lidar, etc.) using advanced path tracing techniques. His work focuses on developing digital twins and practical simulations for industrial applications to train, test, and optimize real systems in virtual environments. These simulations are applied in the aerospace and automotive industries to enable virtual integration and validation of highly automated systems.
