RWTH Aachen University, Teaching and Research Area Mechatronics in Mobile Propulsion

Academics

The Teaching and Research Area Mechatronics in Mobile Propulsion (MMP) at RWTH Aachen University researches sustainable and demand-oriented drive, vehicle and mobility concepts. From simulation to testing - with human and artificial intelligence. From electric drives to automated vehicles. Its broad development expertise and highly specialized knowledge is organized into the following 8 competence centers: “Automated & Connected Vehicles”, “AI & Optimization Methods”, “Simulations & Testing Methods”, “Smart Charging Solutions”, “Electric Powertrain Components & Strategies”, “Prototype & Special Purpose Vehicles”, “Function & Software Development” and “Power-to-X / Combustion”. The interdisciplinary approach drives progress throughout the entire development process of mobile propulsion, striving to bring future into drives.
