Automated Driving Toolbox
Type
Design, simulate, test and Analyse ADAS and autonomous driving systems
Functionalities
Automated Driving Toolbox™ provides algorithms and tools for designing, simulating, and testing ADAS and autonomous driving systems. You can design and test vision and lidar perception systems, as well as sensor fusion, path planning, and vehicle controllers. Visualization tools include a bird’s-eye-view plot and scope for sensor coverage, detections and tracks, and displays for video, lidar, and maps. The toolbox lets you import and work with HERE HD Live Map data and OpenDRIVE® road networks. Automated Driving Toolbox provides reference application examples for common ADAS and automated driving features, including forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and parking valet.
Supported ASAM Standards
ASAM OpenDRIVE® , ASAM OpenSCENARIO®
RoadRunner
Type
Design 3D scenes for automated driving simulation
Functionalities
RoadRunner is an interactive editor that lets you design 3D scenes for simulating and testing automated driving systems. You can import and export road networks using OpenDRIVE®. 3D scenes built with RoadRunner can be exported in FBX®, glTF™, OpenFlight, OpenSceneGraph, OBJ, and USD formats. The exported scenes can be used in automated driving simulators and game engines, including CARLA, Vires VTD, NVIDIA DRIVE Sim®, Baidu Apollo®, Cognata, Unity®, and Unreal® Engine.
Supported ASAM Standards
ASAM OpenCRG® , ASAM OpenDRIVE®
RoadRunner Scenario
Type
Create and play back scenarios for automated driving simulation
Functionalities
RoadRunner Scenario™ is an interactive editor that lets you design scenarios for simulating and testing automated driving systems. Place vehicles and paths, define logic, and parameterize scenarios. You can then simulate the scenario in the editor. Choose from built-in vehicle actors or design your own using MATLAB® and Simulink® or CARLA. Scenarios can be exported to ASAM OpenSCENARIO 1.x and 2.0. Import trajectories from OpenSCENARIO V1.x
Supported ASAM Standards
ASAM OpenSCENARIO®
Simulink Real-Time
Type
Real-Time Simulation
Functionalities
Simulink Real-Time™ and Speedgoat enable rapid control prototyping (RCP) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing with MATLAB® and Simulink®. Execute automated tests with Simulink Test™, or use ASAM XIL standard for third-party frameworks.
Supported ASAM Standards
ASAM MCD-1 XCP , ASAM XIL , ASAM XIL-MA
Simulink Test™
Type
Simulation-based Tests
Functionalities
Simulink Test™ provides tools for authoring, managing, and executing systematic, simulation-based tests of models, generated code, and simulated or physical hardware. It includes simulation, baseline, and equivalence test templates that let you perform functional, unit, regression, and back-to-back testing using software-in-the-loop (SIL), processor-in-the-loop (PIL), and real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) modes. Use Simulink Test™ Support Package for ASAM® XIL Standard to control third-party HIL hardware.
Supported ASAM Standards
ASAM XIL , ASAM XIL-MA
Vehicle Network Toolbox
Type
Test & Calibration
Functionalities
Vehicle Network Toolbox™ provides MATLAB® functions and Simulink® blocks for sending, receiving, encoding, and decoding CAN, CAN FD, J1939, and XCP messages. Vehicle Network Toolbox provides functions and blocks for communicating with ECUs via XCP—an automotive calibration protocol—over CAN or Ethernet bus. You can also access messages and measurement data stored in MDF files.
Supported ASAM Standards
ASAM MCD-1 XCP , ASAM MDF
