Karakun's digital engineering solutions help to realise a data-driven development process for mechatronic systems like vehicles and their components. In this context, Karakun offers both services to create custom-tailored software solutions and standard software products combined in the EXOKNOX data management platform. The main emphasis of EXOKNOX is the management of function and technology data and the high volumes of data created by simulation runs and measurements. EXOKNOX is based on ASAM ODS, an industry standard Karakun has been contributing for many years. Karakun's digital engineering solutions are a cornerstone for a highly efficient development process, for instance, by enabling organisations to collaborate on data and automating the parameterisation of simulation models. Furthermore, Karakun provides AI-based technology for analysing and classifying arbitrary digital content like text files or websites to cope with the overwhelming mass of text-based data organisations face nowadays.

Karakun is also heavily engaged in the open-source software community like the "openMDM®" and "Software Defined Vehicle" working groups of the Eclipse Foundation. In addition, Karakun is developing its own open-source software.
