The Automotive Artificial Intelligence (AAI) GmbH has been founded in 2017 in Berlin by experts coming directly from the automotive industry.
Our mission is to Create a Replica of the World with the focus to speed up the development of advanced driver assistance systems and highly automated driving.
Our software products & services stand for realistic simulations of environment, traffic and sensors. The benefit for Automotive OEMs and suppliers is an early, fast, safe and cost-efficient testing of driver assistance systems and automated driving.

Digitalisation and analysis service for tests in simulation

Functionalities

We take raw data from physical test runs (data lake) and create digital clones of those test runs (OpenDRIVE and OpenSCENARIO), so that ADAS and automated driving functions and sensors can be tested and optimized in simulation early, fast, safe and cost-efficient. With our analysis tool we can also extract critical scenarios of endurance test runs and generate test drive quality reports.

Functionalities

Our simulated traffic agents act individual and unforeseeable - because random-/AI-based - to challenge the test vehicle with its functions and sensors during endurance test runs. Different aggressiveness levels play a role as well as different cultural backgrounds. So we provide real-life traffic for virtual software tests (SiL) as one can observe it, standing on a real road. With our software ADAS and automated driving functions and sensors can be tested and optimized in simulation early, fast, safe and cost-efficient.

AAI Sensor Simulation

Service to create sensor models and 3D assets for testing sensors in simulation

Functionalities

We create sensor models of camera, LiDAR and (planned for 2021) radar to validate in simulation, if they see, what they should see. Therefore we also generate 3D assets and digital twins with all physical material and surface characteristics that have impact on the sensors for ADAS and automated driving. With our service sensors for ADAS and automated driving systems can be tested and optimized in simulation early, fast, safe and cost-efficient.
