In 2021, ASAM has released the new Standard ASAM SCDL (Safety Concept Description Language), a semi-formal notation to describe ISO 26262 safety architectures, namely safety concepts (read more). The Standard was initiated by the SCN-SG community which contributed its experience in the notation of safety concepts to the ASAM Standard.
At the moment, it is considered to extend the Standard to meet additional requirements. The following three extensions are currently under discussion:
- Security extension (related to ISO/SAE 21434 – 2021)
- SOFTIF extension (related to ISO 21448 – 2022)
- Safety analysis extension
At the workshop, these extensions will be presented in detail. We invite all experts, tooling engineers and researchers for electrical vehicle control systems, as well as functional safety assessors to join the workshop, learn about future plans for ASAM SCDL, and provide feedback. It is also possible to join in specific agenda items only.
Based on the results of the workshop, ASAM plans to launch a new project on ASAM SCDL. If you are interested in the Standard and its further development, we highly encourage you to join us on Sep 19, 2023.
