The project group ASAM OpenODD (Operational Design Domain) has developed a concept for a future ASAM OpenODD Standard. The aim is to provide a format that is capable of representing a defined Operational Design Domain for connected automated vehicles (CAV).
An Operational Design Domain Definition (ODD) describes specific operating conditions in which the automated driving system is designed to properly operate. The goal of the ASAM OpenODD project was to create a machine-interpretable format to represent the ODD Specification. With this format an ODD description becomes exchangeable, comparable and processable.
ASAM hosted this webinar to give further insights into what a possible new Standard will look like, and what its capabilities and limitations are.
