Our representative in Japan, Yoshiaki Shoi, will make a presentation at the SCN-OC 2022. Main purupose of the talk is to introduce the new generation of ASAM SCDL.
ASAM activities for autonomous vehicle simulation standards
With the ASAM Simulation domain, ASAM already has a set of standards that are used for the Validation of autonomous vehicles. And activity in this area is brisk. However, ASAM also has standards from other domains that can be used for Simulation. In his presentation, Yoshiaki Shoi will introduce some of these standards and explain what adaptations are currently planned to expand the use of the standards.
About SCDL (Safety Concept Description Language)
ASAM has recently completed a Standard development project on SCDL. ASAM SCDL V1.6.0 was released in 2021. SCDL is a semi-formal notation for describing ISO 26262 safety architectures. ASAM SCDL standardizes the notation and XML Schema for exchanging described security architectures between tools.

About SCN-OC
The SCN-SG (Safety Concept Notation Study Group) organizes the SCN-OC annually. At this open conference the results of the study group are presented and discussed.
So far, three important standards in the field of safety have been published. The first is the 2nd edition of ISO26262 for functional safety. The second is ISO/SAE21434 for cyber security, and the third is ISO21448 for SOTIF (security of intended functionality).
SCN-SG is striving to align SCDL with these critical standards. The scope of the Standard will be presented and discussed at the conference. It forms the new generation of SCDL. An ASAM concept project is planned after the conference to implement this new generation.
