Proposal Workshop: ODS Big-Data Ecosystem

The primary purpose of the proposal workshop "ODS Big-Data Ecosystem" was to review the results of the concept project that investigated Big-Data technologies for ODS-based test-data management (P2015-08), and to come to a joint decision among experts how to introduce them into ASAM ODS.
Agenda
The members of the proposal workshop made three major decisions:
- Standardization of the requirements of the indexing service including the definition of the exchange file format in JSON.
- Standardization of the file formats Apache Parquet and Avro for storing mass-data.
- The Standardization of services for data conversion, data access, data processing and security was postponed. Further discussions and technical insights are necessary. The need for standardizing services shall be re-evaluation and decided at the end of this project and potentially started in a following project in 2019.
