at: Pacifico Yokohama, JP
ASAM will be exhibiting at the JSAE 2026 - Automotive Engineering Exposition, taking place in Yokohama, Japan, from May 27 to 29, 2026. The exposition is one of the largest in Japan for automotive engineers, showcasing the latest technologies and products.
ASAM will be presenting latest A public specification, which has been developed by experts in a defined consensus-driven development process and was released by officials that represent a significant share of the industry for which it is targeted, giving the specification the necessary legitimacy to be called a 'Standard'.Standard developments like ASAM OpenMATERIAL 3D, ASAM TestSpecification, and ASAM SOVD. Yoshiaki Shoi, our ASAM represenative in Japan, will make a presentation on Autonomous Vehicle Digital Twin Testing and Homologation Standards. He will talk about testing and The process of certifying compliance of a product with regulatory requirements, e.g. that it meets public safety and environment standards.Homologation of automated vehicles: Adoption of a “digital twin” methodology that integrates real-world driving with Is the process of imitation of the behavior of a modeled real-world system over time.Simulation, is steadily advancing. This paper presents a comprehensive overview of the ASAM OpenX suite of standards, which is fundamental to implementing this methodology, outlining their objectives, expected impacts, and projected developments. Furthermore, the paper examines the underlying approaches to standardization that were developed in conjunction with these specifications.
