On Nov 4 - 5, 2024 ASAM is conducting an ASAM ODS cross-test hosted by its member company Peak Solution in Aachen, Germany. This is an on-site only event!
The purpose of the ASAM ODS cross test is to test compatibility among ASAM ODS based software components (i.e. servers and clients) from different vendors. The cross test allows you to test the protocols CORBA and HTTP, the EXD API (introduced in ASAM ODS V6.2.0 for accessing external data from an ODS server) and the compatibility of ASAM ODS ATFX files. Special emphasis is placed on the exchange of NVH data.
At a cross test, the participating companies cooperate to verify and improve their software in real life scenarios. Participants help each other to understand the tiny differences in the formats of data of different programs and to solve the difficulties they might encounter in interpreting these data. Additionally, unclarities, ambiguities and contradictions in the Standard may be revealed and can be resolved in a next step.
Why you should take part:
Tool vendors typically fix their issues found during cross testing and make a product release soon after the event. The overall objectives of cross tests are: increased tool interoperability, a better understanding of the Standard, potential improvements in the Standard and significantly reduced tool chain integration efforts for end users.
Participation is open to all ASAM members who wish to test their ASAM ODS compliant software.
