ASAM MDF Image Streams
Proposal Workshop
on: Thursday, Jun 10, 2021 | 14:00 - 18:00 CEST
via: Teams Meeting
ASAM is planning to develop an associated Standard to describe the storage of image streams in ASAM MDF. In the area of AD (Autonomous Driving) and ADAS (Advance Driver Assistance Systems) a variety of radar, camera and lidar systems is used, whose signals are recorded, beside the classical bus data (e.g., Flexray, LIN, CAN, Ethernet).
Currently, a group of participants of the workshop have agreed to write the proposal. All further steps (incl. the publication of the proposal) will be announced on the ASAM project page.

About ASAM MDF
ASAM MDF (Measurement Data Format) is a binary File Format to store recorded or calculated data for post-Measurement processing, off-line evaluation, or long-term storage. In addition to the plain Measurement data and all necessary meta information for its interpretation, ASAM MDF can also store descriptive and customizable supplementary data within the same file. ASAM MDF is not only used for storage of sensor, ECU, bus or monitoring data, it is also used for the compact storage of large data amount as external components managed by an ODS (Open Data Services) Mixed Mode Server.
ASAM MDF is complemented by a number of associated standards that describe how information is stored for particular use cases.
