Service-oriented communication has become an important basis for automotive software architecture. And its importance will further increase in the coming years. This creates a great need for APIs that enable and facilitate test and Validation of services and their communication.
In order to meet these needs, the XIL Standard shall be extended to allow access to service-oriented communication. With service-oriented access, the project groups refers to:
The goal of this concept project is to determine the scope and possible access possibilities to service oriented communication by XIL. This access can be realized by the XIL Testbench API and / or the Framework API. The project will define which extensions to the XIL API are required for accessing service-oriented communication and whether existing testbench ports can be extended or additional testbench ports have to be introduced.
Especially the functionalities of the Network Port will be subject of the analysis.
The outcome of this concept project will be the project proposal for the development of ASAM XIL version 3.0. This may include proposing further improvements / corrections to the existing APIs, if necessary.
The first project group meeting
