ISO 13209 (OTX) is a standard for describing test sequences in an XML exchange format, using a data model that provides common programming language elements. The standard is open and extensible for many test scenarios of the Automotive industry. ASAM has released two additional parts for OTX (part 4 and 5) in 2015 and two extensions in 2016 (ASAM MCD-2 CERP, ASAM CPX), which are currently being implemented by suppliers and OEM companies.

Since OTX and its extensions are quite new, the ongoing use of the standard will most likely unveil technical issues and ambiguities, which need to be clarified. Especially the first implementations of the new extensions will verify the model and the concepts behind it.

The aim of this maintenance project is to enable short-term clarification of these issues through the standardization expert group members with the primary goal to maintain cross-manufacturer interchangeability of OTX descriptions. The project shall provide continuous support for the revision of part 4 and 5 for the next three years. It is planned to release a new revision at the end of each year throughout the project term.
