ASAM Elects New Board of Directors

ASAM e.V. (Association for Standardization of Automation and Measuring Systems) has elected a new Board of Directors on March 7, 2017.

ASAM General Assembly

At the General Assembly on March 07, 2017 in Stuttgart, Germany, the ASAM membership elected a new Board of Directors. For the next two years, Marc Blatter (Daimler AG, Chairman of the Board), Dr. Ralf Noerenberg (HighQSoft GmbH), Prof. Dr. Marcus Rieker (HORIBA Europe GmbH), Armin Rupalla (RA Consulting GmbH) and Richard W. Vreeland (Cummins Inc.) are going to take over the board activities for the standardization organization which specializes in the development of electronic control units. The new Board member expressed their intention to intensify internationalization, to stimulate international collaboration within working groups and to advance standardization also in new technological areas of the Automotive Industry.

ASAM Technical Seminar

For the first time, ASAM hosted a Technical Seminar to discuss technological developments that might have an impact on ASAM standards. The Technical Seminar which was held the day after the General Assembly, was open to the public.

ASAM members presented the latest innovative ASAM standards and discussed new E/E architecture concepts for ADAS and Autonomous Driving. After the introduction of the AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform, the attendees had the chance to discuss possible consequences for the ASAM portfolio.
