ASAM recently finished a concept project, which had the purpose to analyze the current standards and market situation in the MC-3 ECU access automation area. One of the primary outcomes of the concept project was a development road map. This project "MC-3 Automation Access Protocol" is part of the road map and the starting point of a series of measures to update existing standards and transfer new specs to ASAM.

Cross tests carried out with ASAM XIL-compliant tools revealed some areas of further improvement and the need for clarifications in the standard. The project has the purpose to find solutions and implement them in the standard.
