About Us

ASAM e.V. (Association for Standardization of Automation and Measuring Systems) promotes standardization within the Automotive Industry. Together with our membership worldwide, we develop standards that define interfaces and data models for tools used for the development and testing of electronic control units (ECUs) and for the validation of the whole vehicle. Our standards are implemented in tool chains worldwide.


We are a fast-growing community of currently more than 220 member companies worldwide. For our newly established standardization domain “Simulation”, we are looking for a 


Global Technology Manager (Simulation)


to drive current  and future standardization in highly-automated driving on a global level.



  • You accompany the standard development process from the idea to the final release.
  • You coordinate and moderate standardization work groups that are composed of experts from our member companies.
  • You provide project specific support and ensure that existing standards are maintained, further developed, and released. 
  • You build up a network and keep members engaged.
  • You monitor and analyze technical trends in the automotive industry and evaluate their standardization potential. 
  • You help to improve processes and make sure that the needs of our members are met.

What We Expect

The ability to work independently is a must, as well as the ability to interact, coordinate and communicate with the membership of the organization in different work groups and bodies. 
Additional requirements: 

  • You have a university degree in electrical engineering or computer science
  • You gained work experience in automotive electronics development, and preferably also in standardization
  • You are familiar with standards in the area of highly-automated driving (e.g. OpenDRIVE, OpenSCENARIO, …), preferably also in the areas of measurement, calibration, diagnostics, and test data management
  • You are a collaborative team player and enjoy standardization work 
  • You have strong communication and moderation skills
  • You are able to work in a team and to build networks
  • You are fluent in German and English
  • You are self-organized and have a structured way of working
  • You are proactive, confident, and assertive
  • Your work will also involve a certain amount of travelling (max 20%)
