Product and Technology Manager (Automotive)

ASAM e.V. (Association for Standardization of Automation and Measuring Systems) brings the automotive industry together to create standards for the development and testing of driving functions and vehicles. ASAM standards enable the inter-connection of tools and a seamless data exchange. We are driven by our more than 380 member companies and serve a global user community.

 

With the strong worldwide interest in our standards, our community as well as our standards portfolio is constantly growing. Therefore, we are looking for a

 

Product and Technology Manager
Automotive (m/f/d)

 

to strengthen our team. Our technology managers are the face of ASAM in all standardization initiatives. They accompany the projects from the initial idea to release of the first version and throughout the entire lifecycle. As Technology Manager you will be reporting directly to our Chief Technology Officer.

 

Your Tasks

  • Execute standard development projects from the initial idea to the final release
  • Coordinate and moderate work groups (composed of experts from our member companies)
  • Provide project-specific support and help maintain, extend, and release our existing standards
  • Ensure fulfillment of our technology road map
  • Select, manage, and monitor project-specific service providers
  • Ensure the quality of all work results
  • Engage with our members, make sure their needs are met, and help us extend our network
  • Analyze and monitor technology trends with respect to their potential for standardization
  • Represent ASAM projects at events and at other organizations


Your Qualification

  • Bachelor or Master degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
  • Experience in at least one of our domains, preferably also in testing and standardization
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English (oral and written)
  • Diligent, well-structured, and thorough working style
  • Comfortable with working in teams as well as in self-organized settings
  • Inherently motivated and fascinated by our business domain
  • Proven record of organizing and conducting workshops for industry experts
  • Open to travel (max. 20%)
