ASAM’s greatest strength is the community of experts working together to drive cost efficiencies for the automotive marketplace
The ASAM Membership consists of over 350 member organizations worldwide. These member organizations are automotive OEMs, suppliers, tool vendors, engineering service providers and research institutes. Every employee of these member organizations is welcome to particpate in ASAM.
Our members are distributed worldwide with headquarters in 18 countries on 4 continents. Most of these organizations have development, manufacturing, or sales offices on a global basis. This does not only mean that our standards are in use all over the world but each region actively contributes to the standardization process.
ASAM standardization seeks to incorporate requirements from many different global viewpoints in order to produce an efficient interface. Thus, ASAM standards allow users to choose tools by their capability, efficiency, and support - rather than by proprietary connections.
The ASAM membership has always been a very active community. As more members join the association, the community can rely on a greater pool of experts and a more diverse basis of expertise. New members integrate into the established community, contribute their expertise to standards, and incorporate standards into tools. This way, the entire community becomes stronger and is enabled to take on the upcoming challenges.
There are a number of ways to get involved and contribute to the community for the benefit of both your company and the association.
