Today A2L files are used for nearly all ECU projects worldwide. The great benefit of a standardized variable description format is often negatively affected by incompatible interpretations between producing and consuming tools, e. g. auto code generators and calibration tools or if a tool should be exchanged by another.

ASAM ODX Checker (ASAM MCD-2D)

The ASAM format for diagnostic data specification ASAM MCD-2D (ODX) employs different technologies for specification (UML) and implementation (XML schema). Based on these rules the ASAM ODX checker is able to check ODX instances for compliance with this standard. This ensures the high quality and exchangeability of ODX data in complex or manufacturer spanning development processes. ASAM MCD-2D (ODX) is identical to ISO 22901. For this reason, the ASAM ISO Joint Expert Group has defined a large set of checker rules as part of the ODX specification.

ASAM FIBEX Checker (ASAM MCD-2 FBX)

The official ASAM tool to validate your board net data

The ASAM FIBEX format is the accepted standard for the representation of board net data for modern cars and includes data like parameter setups, gateway layout, schedule etc. of the whole communication network. FIBEX files are not only voluminous, but -- as far as their authors (supplier companies) are concerned and the tools used to produce them -- also highly heterogeneous. Errors and inconsistencies therefore occur and may lead, if not detected, to dangerous functional failures of electronics system in the field. The ASAM FIBEX Checker provides the necessary validation of FIBEX data quite early during sub-system development time and also later during system integration time. Numerous semantic consistency checks can be performed on the basis of information that is given by a communication protocol specification like FlexRayTM.

ASAM ODS Data & Model Checker

ASAM ODS (Open Data Service) offers a standardized and well proven way of managing, saving and transporting measurement data. This includes ASAM ODS databases as well as the ASAM Transport Format (ATF). The increasing relevance of this kind of data is accompanied by an increasing number of databases, files and applications which write and read this data. Thereby the compliance with the ASAM ODS specification is of high importance.

With the ASAM ODS Data and Model Checker it is possible to evaluate ODS databases and ATF-files for their compliance with the ASAM ODS specification. Thereby the tool checks the application-oriented data model, as well as the files, which are saved according to this model and supports the traditional classic format as well as the new XML-Format. The modular architecture of the checker allows a configuration of the data sources and the test scope.
